Kitchen, Lounge , Garage and Walk - 1 - 4 September

The rest of the week saw us replacing the light in the Kitchen with a set of spots, for better illumination.

Sally continued work on the lounge cupboard, finishing the painting and cutting the wood for the new shelving to size and undercoating them. She then started work painting the walls in the lounge and dining room.

We also  worked together to start to prep one of the garage doors for painting. The doors and frames look pretty tatty and I've been champing at the bit for the last couple of years to get to grips with smartening them up.The house is on an incline and so I needed Sally to hold the ladders as I worked on the higher sections, removing any rotten wood and then filling.

That evening we followed the old railway embankment along the river in the direction of Espartinac. I ling walk for us, around 2.5 km I believe.

Friday saw me start 8 days of holiday! After a bit of a lie-in we did a small food shop and then back to do our French homework. Also signed up to the ‘British Expats’ forum in the hope of getting some advice on wiring the lighting circuit in a house.

After lunch, where did the morning go, it was back working on the garage door.
