Showered, 12th July

Rubbish night’s sleep – perhaps 4 hours. Woke not feeling exactly energised but jumped into finishing mounting the plasterboard and then plastic cladding for the shower area, and then on to assembling the cabinet. A quality piece of kit. The instructions could have been better, but at least I had them. I bought the cabinet 18 months or more ago and when I came to assemble it the instructions were nowhere to be seen. Fortunately, Sally found them (after I’d given up and had decided to try and wing it). There was simply no way I would have managed without them – it was a complicated bit of assembly.

Got it assembled and sealed. I couldn’t wait the suggested 24-hours for the sealant to go off and, instead, jumped in a couple of hours after applying it. Seem to have got away with it – no obvious leaks. Bit of a miracle really as me and plumbing don’t normally mix well.

Less than 48-hours to get the old shower out and the new one in and commissioned; I’m happy with that.
