More Paint Prep, 9th July

To bed a little later than usual last night, but slept through to 06:45, which is good. After my ‘day in the office’ I worked on the roof light aperture above the loo, rubbing down the small amount of woodwork, wire brushing the iron surround (inside and out) and giving it a coat of Hammerite. Then spent ages on my hands and knees cleaning up the mess I created on the loo seat and floor.

Not only did I rise late (for me) I’d finished working, and had showered, by 18:00 – so a relaxing evening ahead, and hopefully I’ll feel up to a stroll with Sally.

Talking of Sally, she had a productive day, cleaning the 1st floor balustrade ready for painting, stripping the two remaining wardrobe doors and working of the cupboard doors in Serena’s room – trying to get them close a little better.

I joined Sally on the evening stroll. Some nice views of the Vezere
