More Painting (Sally) - July 10th

Didn’t sleep very well. Was it the new air con, the wine, or Andy snoring? I don’t think it was the latter.

Woke up early. Andy went to fetch some bread and croissant. Nice. (Smacked wrist - you have been warned). The bread looked like rabbit ears sticking out of the wrapper. When we had lunch, the bread resembled a fish! I suppose a fish, as in loaves and fishes, makes more sense. We just need someone, you know who, to turn the water to wine. I believe wine used to be a safer bet than water.

Today I spent a lot of time preparing Serena’s room. The cupboard doors are going to look fantastic. Although I am not the best painter.

Andy has done a terrific job with the lounge/diner. It is amazing what a lick of paint can do to transform a room.

We haven’t felt like eating much the last two days and have had pate on toast.

Tomorrow is going to be FANTASTIC. The Bates are coming and we are looking forward to seeing Natasha, Tom and SERENA.
